Team 26's message to Congress: “Put politics aside and get it done.”
“Well over 30,000 Americans have been killed by guns (this past year). But, these are just statistics.
Behind each gun death is a person, a family and their shattered dreams. We are senselessly losing brothers and sisters, future artists and dancers, teachers and doctors. For all we know, we lost the child who would have grown up and cured cancer.
We can no longer sit by idly and watch this unnecessary destruction of lives and dreams, and potential future leaders in medicine, the arts, or engineering.”
